Even the best watches can sometimes encounter issues. But fear not – many common problems have simple solutions. This workshop will guide you through some of the most frequently faced problems and how to solve them.
Watch is Running Fast or Slow: If your watch is not keeping accurate time, it may be due to magnetization. Exposing your watch to strong magnetic fields, like speakers or fridges, can affect the movement. You can demagnetize your watch with a demagnetizer.
Automatic Watch Isn’t Winding: Automatic watches require movement to keep running. If you haven’t worn it in a while, it may stop. Simply shake the watch gently to restart the mechanism.
Chronograph Isn’t Resetting Correctly: If your chronograph hands aren’t aligning correctly, it’s usually due to a simple misalignment and can often be corrected with a series of button presses.
Watch is Fogging Up: This could be due to sudden changes in temperature. If the condensation doesn’t clear up quickly, it may indicate a water entry.
Loose or Misaligned Bezel: Bezels can become loose or misaligned over time. If it’s a unidirectional bezel, try aligning it by turning it counterclockwise. If it’s still loose, consult a professional.
Noise Coming from the Watch: Most watches make a soft ticking sound, but if you notice a rattling or clicking noise, it may indicate loose parts inside. It’s best to consult a professional in this case.
Please remember, while troubleshooting can fix minor issues, not every problem can or should be addressed at home. If you’re uncertain or the issue persists, seek help from one of our professionals to prevent further damage.
